At Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay, we work to connect, facilitate, and enable community action for biodiversity in Hawke’s Bay. We are the go-to hub for information, expertise, services, and networks, so that community groups doing biodiversity projects are well supported and successful.
We are a regional community-led 'for purpose' organisation established to work with, and on behalf of, the community to enhance biodiversity in Hawke’s Bay and deliver on the objectives of the Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Strategy 2015-2050 (the Strategy).
The Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay brand is made up of Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay Incorporated, the membership-based Society, which works to connect, facilitate, and enable community action for biodiversity in Hawke’s Bay, and the Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Trust. The key role of the Trust is to secure funds and build an endowment fund, to support biodiversity-related activity in the Hawke’s Bay Region into the future.
The Incorporated Society and Trust work collectively and collaboratively under the Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay brand to achieve the objectives of the Strategy. The MoU outlining this active collaborative partnership can be viewed here .
