Biodiversity Hawke's Bay deputy Chair Des Ratima to address Forest & Bird branch meeting

The guest speaker at Forest & Bird Hastings/Havelock North branch meeting will be Des Ratima, Deputy Chair of Biodiversity Hawke's Bay's Trust Board. His topic will be ‘Kaitiakitanga v Ownership':

In the world of te taiao it is the responsibility to te taiao that is important, not the exploitation of te taiao. Having sustainable practices and mutual reciprocity between the requirements of man v the needs of Te Taiao. This is an inherent requirement of a kaitiaki.
